Shanghai Electric, Masdar & Mawalid Sign Strategic Partnerships for Renewable Energy Projects, Including Hydrogen
SHANGHAI--Shanghai Electric (SEHK:2727, SSE:601727) signed agreements with Saudi Arabia's Abu Dhabi Future Energy (Masdar) for a 2GW solar power project and with Oman's Mawarid Group for a comprehensive wind power project in early April. These two landmark agreements in the Middle East are significant in supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and Oman's Vision 2040 initiatives. The goals of both agreements are to accelerate the Middle East's energy transition through technology exports, local manufacturing, and diversified industrial cooperation.
